What's New for the 2025 Ram 1500

The Ram 1500 rolls into the 2025 model year with a new look that's sleeker and more aerodynamic while retaining its signature assertive presence. Under the hood, the veteran 5.7-liter V8 has been replaced by the brand's new Hurricane engine. Available in standard and high-output variants, this 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged straight-six boasts improved performance and refinement over the outgoing V8.

Elsewhere, new display options join the 2025 Ram 1500 lineup, including 12.0-inch and 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreens, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 10.25-inch front-passenger screen, and a 10-inch full-color head-up display. An all-new range-topping Tungsten trim provides the most deluxe Ram 1500 experience with  massaging seats, quilted leather, Klipsch high-end audio, and more.

Performance

The Ram 1500's base engine is a trusty 3.6-liter V6 with the eTorque mild-hybrid system, sending 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque to the wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission. It's ideal for everyday light-duty jobs, providing a max tow rating of 7,750 pounds.¹

Through the 2024 model year, a 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 is standard in the Ram 1500 Limited and available for supporting trims. With 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, it enables a max tow rating of 12,750 pounds when properly equipped.¹

Beginning with the 2025 model year, all Ram 1500 trims above Tradesman and Big Horn utilize the new Hurricane platform, a 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-six available in two levels. Laramie and Rebel equip the standard output version with 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque. Limited, Limited Longhorn, and the all-new Tungsten trims get a "High Output" version, producing a stout 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque.  Both powerplants deliver enhanced fuel economy and lower emissions while generating more horsepower and torque than other naturally aspirated V8 and forced-induction six-cylinder engines in the light-duty segment.
